Week 2, Animal - 10

She has a perfectly good waterer, yet she insists on trying to get water from the faucet instead... She's a goofy cat.

Week 2, Toy - 9

I have companion pictures in this one. I figured, let's show all of Jacque's stuffed animals. To take them all out of their nets would have likely made a better picture and perhaps I'll do that at a later date and time, but today, I just wanted to show how they reside in their normal habitat.

Week 1, Wildcard - 7

For my wildcard picture today, I took, well, a few pictures. Nothing really exciting.

This first is of Lacy perched on the edge of the futon standing on its side. I thought the silhouette was pretty spiffy.

This one was more of an experiement than anything. These are not star constellations... But what exactly are they? :D

These two were both taken from an interesting perspective, both the same, yet different. The one above was my attempt to take a picture of the horizon. Believe it or not it was a rather brilliant pink sky, but I forgot the flash was on... Can you guess where I was?

This one is a little easier to figure out (Jenn's windshield is cleaner than mine ;)), but to me it reminds me of a city scape with all the brilliant lights or something out of Star Wars (Kyle's suggestion, not mine, but it works.)

Week 1, SCA - 6

I will freely admit this was not what I originally intended for my picture. Unfortunately, what I intended I couldn't figure out how to take (at least for now), so I settled for a representation of one of the aspects to the SCA - fighting. I'm not overly happy with today's picture, but I doubt we'll all be happy with everything we take all the time.

Week 1, Jacque - 5

Early morning pictures are a challenge and a half, mostly due to the lighting. Tho this isn't the best quality picture, it shows Jacque doing what she has been enjoying most recently... Putting the foam blocks into the foam puzzle. All this basically means is we need to get her more puzzles to expand that enjoyment. She had also just gotten out of the bath (took of few of those type pictures too), that's why her hair looks so funky.

Week 1, Outdoors - 4

Experimentation is the name of the game, right? I figured today would be my outdoor picture and in the process of determining what exactly I wanted to use for my shot, I realized it was really cold this morning, so I was going to take the shot from inside the house. Doing that, I was playing with menu settings and realized for the first time that my camera could do sepia. Thought I'd give it a shot. I took several pictures like this which were clearer, but I liked the slightly blurry/foggy aspect to it. Gives it more of a dreamy/fantasy look. Sometimes the things you don't plan...



Btw, for future reference, this shot was taken through the plastic you put over windows to keep the cold out and this is a shot of our backyard. Just past the bottom edge of the shot, there is still a rather sizeable snow patch, because that part of the the yard gets next to no sunlight at this time of year. I figured I would upload the following shot to show a little contrast with the picture types.
