Week 3, Animal - 17

I freely admit, not the best picture in the world, but I don't have the best zoom on my camera. A note for the future camera revision. Regardless, on my way into work this morning, I noticed a few birds scattering out of my way except for this particular bird. It was attempting to pick up a piece of food that was unfortunately way too big for it, but it kept trying. And trying. And trying... Even when I pulled around the corner, he didn't fly away. Its tenacity was amazing.

Week 3, Jacque - 16

I couldn't decide whether I wanted to include this as my outdoor picture or my Jacque picture and I opted for it being my Jacque picture since she is the primary focus... So much winter.

Week 3, SCA - 15

Woo! We've made it into week three and we're still going! Procrastinators beware! :D

Look at my poor portable pell. It looks so lonely under all that snow... I should drag it back in the house, let it dry, set it up and work on it. I should, but will I? Shhhh... don't tell it, but I likely won't.

Couldn't resist posting this next pic. Took it at dinner and it's sooooo Jacque. :D

Please?!?!

Week 2, SCA - 14

I'm finding right now that SCA pictures are the hardest for me to do. It's likely because it's winter and, other than taking pictures of what we have around the house, I'm rather limited. Unfortunately, since it's tax season, I don't really have a lot of SCA projects in the works other than research. Sooooo... Here's a grouping of my fighter tunic, my average garb, and Jacque's garb from Lilies all rolled into one. Rather blah, but hey, hopefully things will pick up as the weather gets warmer. Eventually, as my German Ren research solidifies, I'll be able to add pictures of that project as it comes together.

Week 2, Wildcard - 13

My wildcards this week are of the weather... It snowed last night, but no where near as much as my husband was hoping. I do so love taking landscape pictures.

Ever feel like winter has become a cage? You can't go out and enjoy the sun without getting way too cold...

I thought the trees with all the snow on their branches looked amazing...

This is a view of my neighbors trees above the van... Gorgeous!

This is the gate leading into our backyard... I thought the snow hanging on the bits and pieces looked really cool.

And... The backyard! (From outside the gate...)

Week 2, Jacque - 12

I was playing with sepia again. I like how sharp sepia is. It likely would have worked just as well in black and white, but I still prefer sepia.
One of the interesting things about how my camera handles sepia that I only noticed now, is that it even makes the date printed on the picture "sepia"ish. Normally it's yellow and a rather bright yellow at that, but in this one, it's not. Kinda cool :)

Week 2, Outdoors - 11

This, I believe, is called Shunga Creek. It runs behind our house and under a street by our house. Interestingly enough, even though the weather has been on again off again cold, this is still frozen from the first good freeze we had a few weeks back. It's not very deep and I doubt the sun ever really hits it during the winter anyway. It almost looks like moving water, but when the weather is warmer (ie. spring or summer) I'll take another picture to show what it normally looks like.

So far I've kept up with my pictures at least! :D
